Tupelo Aviation Unlimited Announces the Addition of G100UL Avgas
December 20, 2024
View PDFTupelo, MS — Tupelo Aviation Unlimited, a leading Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) in the Southeast, is proud to announce the addition of G100UL, a new unleaded aviation fuel that is FAA-certified for all piston-engine airplanes. This innovative fuel, which supports the transition away from leaded aviation gasoline, underscores the company’s commitment to being a leader in the FBO industry.
Tupelo Aviation Unlimited will be the first FBO in the country outside of California to offer G100UL. This new fuel option, created by General Aviation Modifications, Inc. (GAMI) and produced by Vitol, will be available for retail sales in mid-January 2025, providing pilots with a cleaner, more environmentally friendly alternative without sacrificing performance.
Tupelo Aviation Unlimited is a subsidiary of Airport Management Solutions, LLC, a respected leader in FBO and airport management. The addition of G100UL aligns with both companies’ dedication to advancing aviation while supporting environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance.
“We’re excited to lead the way for the rest of the country with this important transition in aviation,” said Corey Gillard, President of Airport Management Solutions, LLC. “By offering G100UL, we are taking a significant step toward a cleaner, more sustainable future for aviation, and we’re proud to be the first FBO outside of California to offer it.”
GAMI President Timothy Roehl stated:
“General Aviation Modifications, Inc. (GAMI), based in Ada, Oklahoma, is pleased to announce the deployment and sale of our G100UL® High Octane, Unleaded Avgas by Tupelo Aviation Unlimited at the Tupelo Regional Airport (KTUP) in Mississippi. This represents the first availability of G100UL outside of the State of California! We congratulate Tupelo Aviation for their foresight and initiative in supporting the transition of the general aviation industry to unleaded aviation gasoline. GAMI’s G100UL is the only high-octane, unleaded avgas approved by the FAA for use by all spark-ignition piston engines and all of the airplanes that use those engines. Tupelo Aviation and the Tupelo Regional Airport can now serve as a preferential destination for aviators seeking to remove lead deposits from their engines and support the safe and orderly transition to unleaded avgas and a sustainable future for all of General Aviation.”
Additional announcements will provide the expected first day for retail sales, anticipated to be in January 2025, as well as details about a fly-in event planned for Spring 2025. At this event, GAMI has committed to providing significant discounts on the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to base tenants and fly-in participants.
